Viktor Gyokeres ‘fed up’ with Sporting CP, could leave soon – Portuguese outlet

Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly ‘fed up’ with his situation at Sporting CP, according to Pedro Neves de Sousa of Correio Da Manha. The Swedish forward expressed his frustration in the locker room following the team’s third straight defeat. It’s been suggested that Gyokeres could leave the club ‘sooner or later.’

Earlier reports indicated that Barcelona has identified Gyokeres as a key target for their striker position. At 26 years old, he is seen as the preferred backup to Erling Haaland, although Lille’s Jonathan David also remains a strong option.

Gyokeres’ contract with Sporting CP runs until 2028, and his release clause is set at €100m, though Barcelona believes they might secure him for around €70m.

Recently, Gyokeres scored his 60th goal of 2024, making him the top scorer in the world this year.

Gyokeres has hinted at the possibility of a summer move to Barcelona, saying, “We will see.”
