Leroy Sane has made it clear which club he wants to join next as he looks to leave Bayern Munich amid links to several Premier Links.
In just five days, the January transfer window will open, giving Premier League clubs and teams from other countries the opportunity to buy and sell players to reinforce their squads for the rest of the season.
Several high-profile players could move during the month, including Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane, whose contract with the German club is set to expire this summer.
If he decides to leave Bayern, reports suggest that the winger has already made up his mind about where he wants to go next.
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claims that both Arsenal and Manchester United are keen on signing the 28-year-old, but Liverpool is seen as the most probable Premier League destination for Sane.
However, it’s not an English club that Sane is most interested in, as the former Manchester City player reportedly prefers to join La Liga giants Barcelona.
Although there is interest from Premier League clubs, as well as Serie A and the Saudi Pro League, Sane’s top choice is to play for Barcelona.
His desire to move to the Spanish side is likely influenced by his strong relationship with current Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, who previously coached him at Bayern Munich.
During his time under the German manager, Sane scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists in 44 matches.
However, Sane has struggled to replicate that form in the 2024/25 season, managing only five goals and one assist in 19 appearances across all competitions so far.
Despite this dip in performance, Bayern Munich are still reportedly interested in extending his contract beyond this summer, although this remains unlikely.
