Arsenal, Manchester United, and Manchester City are reportedly keeping an eye on the uncertain situation of Dani Olmo, whose temporary registration with Barcelona is set to expire at the end of this month.
Olmo was initially registered as a replacement for Andreas Christensen following his injury, but his registration will expire on December 31, and Barcelona currently doesn’t have the financial means to renew it.
Barcelona’s effort to extend Olmo’s registration by contesting La Liga’s financial rules in court was unsuccessful.
The court upheld the league’s regulations, stating that emergency registrations should not allow clubs to surpass salary limits.
To make matters worse, Olmo’s contract reportedly includes a clause allowing him to leave on a free transfer if Barcelona is unable to re-register him.
