Liverpool manager Arne Slot is set to make this £50 million superstar his second signing for the club.

Liverpool has reportedly turned down multiple offers for their promising young player, Ben Doak, including a £15m bid from Crystal Palace during the January transfer window, as initially revealed by Daily Mail‘s Sami Mokbel on X (formerly Twitter).

Doak has been making an impact on loan at Middlesbrough in the 2024/25 season, netting seven goals in 20 Championship appearances and helping Michael Carrick’s team secure a spot in the playoffs (5th place).

Despite the interest, Liverpool remains resolute in their stance. According to Sky Sports‘ Lyall Thomas, the club is satisfied with Doak’s progress and sees him as a potential future member of Arne Slot’s first-team squad.

While Liverpool currently depends on the in-form Mo Salah and Federico Chiesa in attack, Doak’s continued performances could pave the way for a more prominent role in the 2025/26 season.

Liverpool is said to value the 19-year-old at around £30m, double the amount of Palace’s offer, according to The Times‘ Paul Joyce.

This valuation reflects Liverpool’s high regard for Doak as they aim to further strengthen their already impressive forward lineup.
