On Wednesday, supporters of La Liga powerhouse Barcelona directed strong criticism at two prominent members of the club’s first team.
This followed developments during Barcelona’s match against Athletic Club.
Hansi Flick’s squad had recently returned to action after traveling to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup semi-final.
In the end, the Blaugrana secured their place in the final, thanks to goals from Gavi and Lamine Yamal.
However, despite this achievement, two players from Barcelonaâs roster became the focus of widespread criticism from the club’s fans.
The pair in question are Frenkie de Jong and Robert Lewandowski.
Lewandowski started the match against Athletic, while De Jong came on during the second half.
The former had difficulty making an impact, whereas De Jong was fortunate not to concede a late goal due to careless play in midfield.
Both players have faced significant criticism in Barcelona, with many fans once again taking to social media to demand that Lewandowski and De Jong be sold as soon as possible.
