Chelsea are reportedly open to offers for six of their first-team stars as they bid to raise funds to buy a centre-back with Marc Guehi linked.
Last week, Blues manager Maresca discussed Fofana’s situation, revealing that the French player might be sidelined for the rest of the season.
He commented, “Unfortunately, he could be out for the season. We’re not entirely sure yet, but it’s possible he’ll miss a portion of the campaign. Every time you ask me about Wes, I’ve said many times that I’m very fond of him.
“This was the initial update and the first information we had, but after conducting tests, we discovered that the situation is worse than we originally anticipated. It’s a hamstring injury, and sadly, we’ll be without him for a while.”
Chelsea will resume play this weekend, facing Morecambe in the FA Cup.
