Liverpool have reportedly set their asking price for midfielder Harvey Elliott amid speculation about his potential departure.
Elliott, who was named in Arne Slot’s starting lineup for Liverpool’s FA Cup match against Accrington Stanley, has been linked with a move away from Anfield due to limited playing time this season. With competition from players like Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Curtis Jones, Elliott has struggled to secure consistent minutes, having played just 43 minutes across seven Premier League appearances this season.
Clubs such as Brighton & Hove Albion and Borussia Dortmund have expressed interest in the 21-year-old. According to The Sun, Liverpool is reportedly asking for a transfer fee in the range of £35 million to £40 million to part ways with Elliott.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot acknowledged Elliott’s talent, saying, “He’s been this for us for so long. In recent weeks, he comes in quite a lot and gets his minutes, but like it is for him, like it is for all the others, they are in competition with many other good players.”
Harvey Elliott has been linked with a move away from Liverpool, with his future at Anfield uncertain. Manager Arne Slot spoke about Elliott’s struggles, explaining, “He was very unlucky that after two games he got injured and was out for a long time. In this league, with its tempo, intensity, and the quality both we and other teams have, it’s not easy to return and perform at your best immediately.”
Slot also noted that this challenge applies to other players who have been sidelined for extended periods, saying it’s important to find the right balance between giving them playing time to regain their form while still ensuring the team wins every match.
Liverpool will return to Premier League action next week when they face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday night.
