Liverpool manager Arne Slot has declined to comment on rumors linking Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with a potential move to Anfield.
The 22-year-old Georgian international has been speculated as a target for the Premier League leaders, alongside other top European clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, all reportedly interested in securing his signature.
Liverpool has been monitoring Kvaratskhelia as a possible long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.
Kvaratskhelia has made 17 Serie A appearances this season, scoring five goals, continuing the form he showed over the previous two seasons at Napoli, where he consistently reached double-digit goals.
When asked about the transfer rumors, Slot responded during a press conference, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. He stated:
“What I make of that is that it’s January… 99 times out of 100, it becomes clear almost all these stories are not true.”
