Mick Brown, a former chief scout for Manchester United and Blackburn, has hinted at the possibility of a cut-price deal for Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sané, with Liverpool reportedly in the running to secure his signature this January. This comes amid speculation surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield, with his contract expiring in June 2025, leading to discussions about potential replacements.
Bayern Munich is reportedly open to offers in the range of £20-25 million for Sané, who is entering the final 18 months of his contract with the German club. Although Sané could leave for free in the summer, Brown believes Liverpool could make an early move to sign the 29-year-old, potentially addressing concerns over Salah’s future and adding depth to their attacking options.
Sané, who has been a key figure at Bayern since his move from Manchester City, could either step into the starting XI should Salah depart or provide valuable rotation if Salah remains at the club. His arrival would offer Liverpool more flexibility in attack, strengthening their options for both domestic and European competitions.
