Fabrizio has delivered major news for Liverpool fans this afternoon regarding Mohamed Salah. Steven Gerrard’s side has reportedly made a significant offer to sign Salah this summer, with a contract already prepared and awaiting Liverpool’s approval to finalize the deal.

Steven Gerrard’s Bold Move: Al-Ettifaq Targets Mohamed Salah on a Free Transfer

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is reportedly willing to risk alienating his former club’s supporters by attempting to bring Mohamed Salah to Al-Ettifaq on a free transfer.

Although Al-Ettifaq is not one of Saudi Arabia’s top four clubs—Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Ittihad, and Al Ahli—they are gaining significant traction in the Salah transfer saga due to their connection with Gerrard.

Currently sitting 11th in the Saudi Pro League, 22 points behind leaders Al Hilal, Al-Ettifaq is in desperate need of a proven goal scorer. Reports indicate that Salah could join Gerrard’s team when his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of this season.

While Al Ittihad is hopeful that Salah will move to their side this summer and his agent has reportedly been in talks with PSG, sources close to Liverpool suggest that Al-Ettifaq is leading the race to acquire the Egyptian forward without a transfer fee.

The interest in Salah remains strong, with clubs like Barcelona, Juventus, Inter Miami, Al Nassr, and Zamalek reportedly monitoring his situation.

Liverpool had previously rejected a £150 million offer from Al Ittihad, and Salah’s recent comments suggest the club has made little effort to extend his stay.

Al-Ettifaq is reportedly planning to build their strategy around Salah, and if they meet his financial demands, their long-term vision, particularly ahead of the 2026 World Cup, could appeal to the Egyptian star.

For now, Salah remains a Liverpool player, and the club still controls the situation—if they are open to negotiations.
