After returning to the top of La Liga… Neither Endrick nor Arda Guler, Ancelotti unexpectedly apologizes to the Real Madrid duo: It was not your fault, it was mine and I am responsible

After Real Madrid’s dominant 4-1 victory over Las Palmas, which extended their lead to two points over Atletico Madrid and seven points over Barcelona, coach Carlo Ancelotti surprised many by publicly apologizing to two of his players, Lucas Vazquez and Aurelien Tchouameni. According to Defensa Central, Ancelotti acknowledged his tactical decisions earlier in the season, where he had placed Vazquez at right-back and Tchouameni in defense, rather than their natural positions.

These decisions were met with criticism, as both players were exposed to difficult situations that impacted their performances. Realizing this, Ancelotti took full responsibility for the moves, stating, “It was not your mistake, but mine, and I am responsible.” His admission aimed to ease the burden on both players, who had faced undue criticism.

In response, Vazquez and Tchouameni expressed understanding, with both players affirming that they were committed to the team and accepted the challenges as part of football. Their professional attitudes highlighted the unity and resilience within the squad, even after such a controversial period.
