German coach Hansi Flick of Barcelona expressed his great admiration for the behavior of his young star, Gavi, toward his teammate, Pablo Torre, during Barcelona’s 7-1 victory over Valencia in La Liga on Sunday.
Gavi was initially set to play the final 15 minutes of the match but, instead, insisted that his teammate Pablo Torre, who hasn’t had many minutes on the pitch, be included in his place. Flick was impressed by this gesture and praised Gavi’s selflessness, saying, “I liked what Gavi did in the match. I talked about including him in the last 15 minutes, but he said to me, ‘Coach, include Pablo Torre.’”
Flick further expressed his admiration, stating, “It’s great. I love Gavi, it’s nice to see that.” According to El Nacional, Gavi believes Torre has great potential and deserves more opportunities in upcoming matches.
