Paul Pogba has confirmed that he has received several offers from clubs as he aims to make a return to one of Europe’s top leagues. The 31-year-old former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder is a free agent after ending his contract with Juventus in November, following a suspension for a banned substance being reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Pogba last played in September 2023 and will be eligible to return to competitive football in March, with the option to sign with a new club since January. In a recent chat with Twitch streamer Amine, Pogba revealed that he is in discussions about his return, stating that he is only interested in joining a top team.
“There are offers. Some are interesting, some are less so,” Pogba said. “Going to play in Russia is not the goal. Playing for a team in the Champions League? We always want the best clubs, but it’s not just up to me. There are discussions, it’s being finalized, but I can’t say more.”
While Pogba hinted that an agreement might be near, ESPN reports that negotiations are still ongoing. However, the midfielder reportedly has offers from clubs across Europe’s top five leagues.
