Arsenal want to bring in another striker and are said to have identified two new targets after missing out on Ollie Watkins.
Arsenal is continuing its search for attacking reinforcements after failing to land Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, who turned down their £60m bid earlier this week. With Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka both out due to injury, Mikel Arteta has made it clear that additional depth in attack is crucial for the Gunners, who remain in contention for three competitions this season.
Arteta emphasized the club’s determination to strengthen the squad, saying, “If we can agree on something, we will, and if not, we won’t.” As the transfer deadline looms, Arsenal’s attention has shifted from Watkins to other potential options, with two names reportedly at the forefront: Benjamin Sesko and Dusan Vlahovic.
Vlahovic, who had been linked with Arsenal before joining Juventus in 2022, could now be on the move again after Juve brought in Randal Kolo Muani on loan. With 53 goals in 128 appearances for Juventus, the Serbian striker could be open to a move if the right offer comes through.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Sesko, who has been impressive with RB Leipzig, is viewed as a priority for Arsenal. With 14 Bundesliga goals this season, the Slovenian forward’s agent has already hinted at a potential move to the Premier League, noting his versatility and skill set. Sesko can play across various attacking roles, making him a strong fit for Arteta’s system.
Arsenal’s pursuit of a forward remains in full swing, and with the deadline fast approaching, it will be interesting to see if the club can secure one of these sought-after targets.
