Barcelona Monitoring Bayer Leverkusen Duo in Champions League Clash
Barcelona will closely assess Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah and Florian Wirtz during their Champions League match against Atletico Madrid tonight.
According to ESPN, the Catalan club has dispatched scouts to Madrid to observe the pair in action against Diego Simeone’s side.
Tah has been strongly linked with a free transfer to Barcelona, with some reports suggesting a deal is nearly finalized. If completed, he would join Pau Cubarsí, Ronald Araújo, and Íñigo Martínez as one of the team’s four center-backs next season.
Meanwhile, Wirtz is also on Barca’s radar. The attacking midfielder has previously expressed his admiration for the club, but signing him will be a significant challenge. Leverkusen has reportedly set a high asking price, demanding over €130 million for the talented youngster.
