Reports suggest Chelsea might be planning a potential transfer raid on Liverpool, eyeing two of their key players: Luis Díaz and Caoimhin Kelleher. After Liverpool’s acquisition of Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea, it seems the Blues are considering a payback move for the Premier League leaders.
While direct transfers between the two clubs have been rare, Chelsea’s interest in Díaz stems from reported concerns over his wages at Liverpool. Chelsea is reportedly willing to offer him a substantial pay rise, potentially making him one of their highest-paid players. However, given Díaz’s excellent form this season and his contract running for over two more years, convincing Liverpool to sell could be difficult.
On the other hand, Chelsea’s pursuit of Kelleher seems more plausible. The 26-year-old goalkeeper has impressed during his appearances, particularly when filling in for the injured Alisson Becker. Despite his solid performances, Kelleher remains second choice at Liverpool, which could open the door for a summer move.
