Prepared to return – Chelsea outcast is finally set to make his comeback tonight, eager to prove himself after a lengthy absence from the squad and reclaim his place on the field.”

The fourth round of FA Cup matches will wrap up this evening, with hopes that one Chelsea loanee will make an appearance.

Chelsea had a relatively quiet transfer window, making just one signing—a player expected to be a deep backup before likely heading out on loan in the summer. While several players were loaned out, the only permanent departure was Cesare Casadei, who joined Torino.

Among those loaned out was Ben Chilwell, who, despite serving as Chelsea’s vice-captain last season, found himself sidelined and seemingly mistreated by the club.

Chilwell Expected to Feature for Crystal Palace

Now on loan at Crystal Palace, Chilwell is poised to make his debut tonight against Doncaster.

Palace manager Oliver Glasner addressed the situation on Friday, stating that while both Chilwell and new signing Adam Wharton are “ready to start,” neither is fit enough to complete a full 90 minutes.

“We can’t expect Ben Chilwell to play 90 minutes. We can’t expect Adam Wharton to play 90 minutes. But it’s possible they’ll feature,” Glasner explained.

He added that while both could start, he is hesitant to plan for both players being substituted at halftime. The final decision on their involvement will be made by Monday noon when the squad is informed.
