At a recent press conference, Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala addressed speculation about his future, particularly regarding potential moves to Real Madrid or a return to Chelsea. Musiala, who came through Chelsea’s academy before joining Bayern, shared his perspective on the ongoing rumors.
“I know I came from Chelsea’s Academy, but there’s a reason I chose to join Madrid this summer,” Musiala stated. “Playing for them will be the fulfillment of my career dream.”
His comments come amid reports linking him to both Real Madrid and Manchester City, with a potential transfer fee estimated at around £100 million ($133 million). While Bayern Munich is eager to extend his contract—currently set to run until 2026—Musiala remains open to new opportunities.
In a previous interview, he remarked, “I don’t have a set plan. I don’t try to think too far ahead about where I’ll be because things can change quickly. I’m open to everything but very happy where I am now.”
Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has acknowledged the difficulty of securing a contract renewal for Musiala, reinforcing the club’s desire to keep him. However, Musiala’s latest comments suggest he sees Real Madrid as a crucial step in his career.
With the summer transfer window approaching, the football world will be watching closely to see where the talented midfielder’s journey takes him next.
