Hansi Flick Leaves Two Barcelona Players Out of Las Palmas Clash
Barcelona’s head coach, Hansi Flick, has decided to exclude two players from the squad traveling to Gran Canaria for their La Liga match against Las Palmas on Saturday evening.
With 25 players available, Flick needed to trim the squad down to 23. He ultimately left out Ansu Fati and Andreas Christensen. While both had participated in training sessions with the team, the Danish defender was not given medical clearance to return to competitive action.
Ansu Fati’s omission continues a concerning trend, as he was on the squad list for the previous match against Rayo Vallecano but has now been dropped for the sixth time in 2025. According to Spain’s El Nacional, Flick does not see Fati as a valuable asset to the squad and plans to continue leaving him out in an attempt to push him toward an exit.
Meanwhile, Christensen remains in training for a second consecutive day but must regain full match fitness before being cleared to play.
