Hansi Flick surprises everyone and responds to Pedri and Raphinha’s request, as he decides to p,unish the disastrous Barcelona player by keeping him on the bench against Atletico Madrid

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick is reportedly considering leaving one of his players on the bench for the Copa del Rey semi-final against Atletico Madrid.

As the Catalan team prepares for a crucial first-leg clash, Flick is focused on securing qualification without relying on the return leg. Reports suggest that the German coach is leaning towards starting Ferran Torres over Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, aligning with the preferences of Raphinha and Pedri.

According to the Spanish newspaper AS, Flick plans to keep Raphinha and Lamine Yamal in the starting lineup while giving Lewandowski a rest after his underwhelming performance against Las Palmas. Instead, Torres, who recently impressed by scoring in the last match, is expected to start.

So far this season, Torres has played 27 matches for Barcelona, contributing 11 goals and 3 assists. The first leg of the semi-final will take place today, Tuesday, at Montjuic Stadium, where Barcelona will host Atletico Madrid.
