Hansi Flick continues to pu,nish the Barcelona star and completely refuses to give him any hope of playing again with the team

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid delivered a thrilling spectacle at Montjuïc in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final, with an electrifying 4-4 draw. However, beyond the dramatic match, a significant development emerged regarding Barcelona’s goalkeeping situation.

According to El Nacional, head coach Hansi Flick has reinforced his stance on not relying on Iñaki Peña. Despite expectations that Peña would feature in the cup match as part of a rotation policy, Flick instead opted for Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, leaving Peña on the bench once again.

Peña’s continued exclusion suggests that this is more than just a temporary decision. The young Spanish goalkeeper is reportedly frustrated and disheartened by his lack of opportunities, with many of his teammates believing he is being treated unfairly. As a result, speculation is growing that he may seek a move away from Barcelona in the summer to secure more playing time elsewhere.

With Szczesny now firmly established as Flick’s first-choice keeper, Peña’s future at the club appears increasingly uncertain. Unless there is a dramatic shift in Flick’s plans, these could be Peña’s final months at Barcelona.
