Paul Pogba’s 18-month suspension from football has officially ended, but the French midfielder is not rushing to join a new club. Reports indicate that he is carefully evaluating his options and is unlikely to make a decision before the season ends.
Due to transfer window restrictions, his immediate choices are limited to clubs in Major League Soccer (MLS) or Japan’s J1 League.
However, the 31-year-old is primarily focused on returning to a top European league, preferably with a team competing in the Champions League or Europa League.
His ultimate goal is to secure a spot in France’s 2026 World Cup squad, and he believes playing at the highest level in Europe will improve his chances.
Pogba has already drawn interest from several clubs, including Marseille, Fiorentina, and some unnamed LaLiga teams, while turning down offers from Saudi Arabia and Brazil’s Serie A.
During his suspension, he stayed in shape by training with a personal coach and playing informal matches in Miami, where he has been living with his family.
Now eligible to play competitively again, Pogba intends to take his time before deciding on his next move.
