Barcelona suffered a setback as Pau Cubarsí picked up an ankle injury during Spain’s 2-2 draw against the Netherlands in the first leg of their UEFA Nations League quarterfinals.
According to Sport, the club is still uncertain whether the young defender will be fit for their upcoming La Liga clash against Osasuna.
Meanwhile, Barcelona could already be without Ronald Araújo, who might miss the game due to international duties, while Iñigo Martínez remains sidelined with an injury. This could force Hansi Flick to deploy Gerard Martin as a makeshift center-back alongside Eric García.
Martin has featured in 26 games for Barcelona this season, contributing one goal and two assists.
However, reports suggest that Cubarsí’s injury is not serious, providing hope for a quick recovery despite being forced off during Spain’s match against the Netherlands.
