“If we play on Saturday and then on Tuesday again, then on Sunday the ones that played only do a recovery session, so they’re not on the pitch. Then the day before the next game, we only have light tactical training. So there’s hardly a moment for these players to truly compete with the starters.”
However, Slot emphasized that players can still impress during post-match training sessions, where coaching staff closely monitor individual performances to assess progress.
