Aleksander Isak Weighing Move to Liverpool or Barcelona

Swedish striker Aleksander Isak is considering his next move, with both Liverpool and Barcelona emerging as potential destinations if Newcastle decides to sell him. However, reports from English media suggest that Liverpool currently holds the advantage in the race for his signature.

Liverpool Leading the Chase

Isak reportedly favors staying in the Premier League, making Liverpool an attractive option—especially if Darwin Núñez departs, which appears increasingly likely.

New Liverpool manager Arne Slot is eager to bring in a top-class striker and sees Isak as an ideal fit for his system. The club is even open to offloading Diogo Jota to create space for the Newcastle forward. Financially, Liverpool is also in a stronger position than Barcelona, as the Catalan club would need to sell players to afford Isak’s €120 million valuation.

Arsenal’s Interest, But No Player Interest

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have long been admirers of Isak, but at this stage, the player isn’t considering a move to the Gunners.

Isak’s Standout Season

The 24-year-old has been one of the Premier League’s most prolific strikers, scoring 23 goals and providing five assists in 33 appearances across all competitions this season.

With Liverpool keen to strengthen their attack and Barcelona struggling financially, Anfield seems like the most likely destination if Newcastle decides to cash in on their star forward.
