FC Barcelona will resume their campaign after the international break in just over an hour, facing CA Osasuna in Montjuic for their rescheduled La Liga match.
With the players having just returned from international duty and the quick turnaround between tonight’s match and Sunday’s clash against Girona, it was always going to be interesting to see how Hansi Flick would set up the team.
The Barcelona manager has made some notable choices, including resting Robert Lewandowski. Instead, Dani Olmo is set to play as the false nine, with Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres supporting him in attack. Torres comes in for Raphinha, who is rested following his late return from South America.
In midfield, Gavi will play as the central attacking midfielder, while Pedri and Frenkie de Jong form the double pivot in the center of the field.
In defense, Inigo Martinez, who has fully recovered from the knee injury he sustained against Atletico Madrid, starts as center-back alongside Eric Garcia. Ronald Araujo and Pau Cubarsi are on the bench.
Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde will play as the full-backs, while Wojciech Szczesny continues in goal.
