Estevao Willian transfer value sky-rockets as Chelsea’s next signing decision justified

Chelsea-bound Estevao Willian has provided another boost to the Blues ahead of his transfer to Stamford Bridge.

In June of last year, Chelsea secured a deal to sign Estevao permanently from Brazilian club Palmeiras. The initial fee agreed was £29million, potentially rising to £55million with add-ons. The 17-year-old is set to complete his move to London this summer.

Estevao is regarded as one of the top young talents in world football, with Chelsea managing to beat several clubs to his signature, including Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain.

The teenager has already scored 20 goals and provided 10 assists for Palmeiras’ first team, and he will officially join Chelsea’s squad this summer following the FIFA Club World Cup.

Ahead of his move, Estevao’s market value has risen once again.

When the transfer was announced last June, Transfermarkt listed his value at €30million (£25million), but that figure has since grown significantly.

His current valuation stands at €55million (£46million), which marks a €5million (£4.2million) increase from December and is nearly double the amount listed when Chelsea confirmed the signing.

Estevao plays as a right winger for Palmeiras but is also capable of playing as a central forward.

Already with four caps for Brazil’s senior team, Estevao will play for Palmeiras in the Club World Cup before joining Chelsea for the next season.
