BARCELONA ASK ALEXANDER ISAK TO REJECT LIVERPOOL : Barcelona have urged Alexander Isak to delay his decision to move this summer and reject any offers coming from clubs like Liverpool. Barcelona promised to come in 2026 when they have enough funds to recruit him.

Newcastle United has reportedly paused contract negotiations with Alexander Isak after the Swedish striker rejected the club’s initial offer to extend his stay at St. James’ Park.

Isak has been a standout performer for the Magpies, scoring 58 goals in 100 matches, attracting interest from top European clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal, and Barcelona.

Despite being under contract until 2028, reports suggest that Newcastle had opened talks over an extension, but Isak was dissatisfied with their first proposal. Last week, he dismissed claims that discussions were still ongoing between his representatives and the club.

Liverpool and Arsenal are both in the market for a high-profile striker. Liverpool’s current No. 9, Darwin Núñez, has struggled for consistency, and the club is reportedly open to selling him to make room for a new addition.

Barcelona is also monitoring Isak as they seek a long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski. Although Isak reportedly favors a move to Spain, he remains open to joining Liverpool, a club he has long admired.

Financially, Liverpool appears better positioned to secure Isak’s signature than Barcelona, given the Spanish club’s ongoing financial struggles. With Newcastle expected to demand over $100 million, Liverpool’s financial strength and existing relationship with Isak’s representatives could play a key role in negotiations.
