According to El Nacional, Ansu Fati’s situation at Barcelona has reached a breaking point. Once hailed as the heir to Lionel Messi’s No. 10 jersey, the young winger has fallen completely out of Hansi Flick’s plans. Despite his dedication in training and his willingness to follow Flick’s guidance, Fati continues to be overlooked, making his future at the club increasingly uncertain.
Recently, Fati’s representatives reached out to club president Joan Laporta to express their frustration. His father, Bori Fati, reportedly conveyed concerns about his son’s lack of playing time, emphasizing that despite Ansu’s commitment and hard work, he is not being given a fair chance.
Flick has been clear that Fati must prove himself in training to regain a spot in the lineup. While the winger has responded positively to this challenge, his efforts have yet to translate into minutes on the pitch. So far this season, he has played just 187 minutes across eight matches, with no goals or assists—an indication that he remains out of the coach’s long-term plans.
