No Fati, no Peña… Hansi Flick expresses his dissatisfaction with one of Barcelona’s stars, and the player will not feature for the team again until the end of the season!

Barcelona Secures Copa del Rey Final Spot but Faces Squad Decisions

Barcelona has successfully booked their place in the Copa del Rey final after defeating Atlético Madrid in the semi-finals. The Catalan giants will now face arch-rivals Real Madrid in a highly anticipated clash on April 26.

However, according to Spanish outlet El Nacional, head coach Hansi Flick has acknowledged that the return of several players to the squad this season will be highly unlikely, with some potentially needing to find a new club in the summer.

Héctor Fort’s Uncertain Future at Barcelona

One player facing an uncertain future is Héctor Fort, who has seen limited playing time this season. His opportunities were scarce from the start, and despite making his debut after weeks of waiting, his performances have not convinced Flick. The young right-back only started when Jules Koundé was penalized for lateness, rather than due to tactical preference.

With Koundé back in top form, competition for the right-back position has intensified, making it nearly impossible for Fort to secure regular minutes. Flick has reportedly been unimpressed with his defensive mistakes, nervousness under pressure, and lack of experience at the highest level.

Potential Loan or Permanent Exit

Despite his struggles, Fort remains a promising talent from La Masia, with many coaches believing in his potential. However, Flick has already informed club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco that the 19-year-old will need to seek playing time elsewhere. A loan move is the most likely option, though a permanent sale is also being considered.

Fort understands that to continue his development, he may have to leave his boyhood club and test himself at another La Liga side. While his long-term future remains uncertain, it appears unlikely that he will feature for Barcelona again this season.
