Liverpool fans have been left furious after their side suffered a defensive collapse to go 3-1 down to Fulham at half-time in their Premier League clash.
Liverpool opened the scoring at Craven Cottage with a spectacular long-range effort from Alexis Mac Allister.
However, Fulham hit back in the 23rd minute as Ryan Sessegnon netted his third goal in seven appearances. The momentum then shifted after two costly mistakes from Andy Robertson—one being a misplaced cross-field ball aimed at Curtis Jones—which gifted Alex Iwobi the chance to put the hosts ahead.
Fulham extended their lead just before halftime, with Rodrigo Muniz capitalizing on more shaky defending from Arne Slot’s side to make it 3-1.
Liverpool may be comfortably ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League standings, with a minimum 11-point cushion and seven games remaining, but their recent performances have left fans increasingly concerned—particularly with individual errors creeping in.
During the first half against Fulham, supporters took to social media to express their frustration, singling out Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson for criticism.
One fan lamented: “This is horrifying to watch. Van Dijk a shade of himself since that week where we lost twice.”
Another was direct in blaming the Dutchman for Fulham’s third goal: “That was Van Dijk’s fault, didn’t bolster himself and got moved off too easily.”
A third added: “Van Dijk against a striker who has any sort of power,” hinting at the defender’s struggles in physical duels.
Andy Robertson also came under fire, with one supporter pointing out: “Misplaced pass. Misses the header which falls directly to Fulham player. A shocking few seconds for Andy Robertson.”
Another tweeted in disbelief: “Genuinely baffled that a player of Robertson’s experience would play that pass.”
Despite their strong position in the table, the defensive lapses have raised alarms as Liverpool head into the critical final stretch of the season.
