Chelsea youngster sets to feature in Europe game

 

 

A 20-year-old Chelsea midfielder could be set to appear in the UEFA Conference League quarter-final clash against Legia Warsaw, following recent training sessions with the first team under Enzo Maresca.

 

With Chelsea heading to Poland for the first leg, Maresca faces a strategic decision amid a congested Premier League schedule: stick with his strongest lineup or hand opportunities to rising talents and squad players. European matches have consistently been a testing ground for Chelsea’s younger prospects.

 

Shumaira Mheuka, who made history as Chelsea’s youngest European starter against Copenhagen, is a strong candidate for inclusion again—especially as he skipped a recent U21 match, hinting at first-team involvement.
