Pablo Torre Requests Loan Exit Amid Frustration with Hansi Flick’s Management
According to El Nacional, young Barcelona midfielder Pablo Torre has made the firm decision to leave the club on loan this summer. The 18-year-old is reportedly disillusioned with his limited role under head coach Hansi Flick, calling the current season underwhelming and lacking the development opportunities he expected.
Torre has struggled for consistent minutes, appearing in just 15 matches and logging only 480 minutes across all competitions. Much of his time has been spent on the bench, which has sparked growing frustration. That frustration came to a head during Barcelona’s recent match against Mallorca, where Torre was left out of the lineup again. Eyewitnesses reported that the midfielder refused to acknowledge Flick after the match, a gesture widely interpreted as a public sign of discontent.
Despite the tensions, Torre is not pushing for a permanent exit. Instead, he hopes a loan move will allow him to secure regular playing time and continue his development in a more competitive setting. His representatives, along with sporting director Deco, are currently evaluating potential offers from La Liga clubs, while a move abroad remains an option if it presents the right sporting project.
Coach Hansi Flick has not opposed the idea of a loan. In fact, he reportedly sees it as a constructive step that could help Torre grow outside the high-pressure environment of the first team. The club hopes that regular action elsewhere could pave the way for Torre to return to Barcelona stronger and more prepared for a long-term role.
