Raphinha reveals the player who should replace Lewandowski in the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid!

Barcelona Stars Back Ferran Torres to Start Ahead of Lewandowski in Copa del Rey Final

Barcelona currently leads La Liga with 76 points, and Hansi Flick’s side is aiming to secure the league title while preparing for a massive Copa del Rey final showdown against Real Madrid this coming Saturday.

According to El Nacional, Ferran Torres’ recent performances have sparked strong internal discussions within the Barcelona camp — not just among fans and pundits, but also among the players themselves. Reports suggest that Raphinha, along with fellow stars Pedri and Gavi, has openly backed Torres to replace Robert Lewandowski as the team’s starting striker — possibly as early as the Copa final.

Raphinha reportedly praised Torres for showing significant growth in his game, citing improved maturity, sharpness in front of goal, and greater physical presence in the box. This season, Torres has looked more focused and effective, attributes that have not gone unnoticed in the dressing room.

While Lewandowski remains a club icon and continues to offer tactical value, the Polish striker will turn 37 in August and has shown signs of slowing down. His finishing and influence in the final third are no longer as decisive as in past seasons, opening the door for a potential change in attack.

Torres, who joined Barcelona from Valencia, is now seen by many within the club as the natural successor in the No. 9 role. His work ethic, consistency, and development have earned him trust, and if he maintains his current trajectory, he could cement his place as Barcelona’s first-choice striker by the start of the 2025–26 season.
