Player To leave Barcelona

Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo has reportedly told his teammates that the upcoming Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid will be his last game for the club, according to El Nacional. The match is shaping up to be a farewell for several players looking to leave the team in the next transfer window.

Though Araujo is expected to start on the bench, coach Hansi Flick may deploy him at left-back due to Alejandro Balde’s injury. Gerard Martin’s underwhelming performances in key games could lead to Araujo being trusted with the role.

Despite a recent contract extension until 2030, insiders claim this was a strategic move by Barcelona management to boost his market value, not a long-term commitment. Araujo had been close to joining Juventus in January before the deal fell through.

Now, with coach Flick reportedly planning for the future, Araujo is on the list of potential departures, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah expected to replace him on a free transfer.

All signs indicate Araujo’s time at Camp Nou is coming t

o an end.
