Chaos in Madrid: Bellingham and Valverde Clash with Brahim Diaz After Cup Final Defeat

Real Madrid’s crushing 3-2 loss to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final has ignited major tensions within the team. After Jules Koundé sealed the win for Barça with a last-minute goal in extra time, frustration boiled over inside the Madrid dressing room.

Reports from Spanish outlet Daviesna Central reveal that Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde violently confronted Brahim Diaz, blaming him for the defeat. The tipping point came after Diaz, who came on as a substitute, made a crucial error late in the match. Luka Modric had passed him a decisive ball, but Diaz hesitated, allowing Koundé to intercept and score the winner.

In the aftermath, Bellingham reportedly shouted at Diaz, accusing him of throwing away their victory. Valverde’s anger escalated to the brink of a physical fight, only prevented by teammates stepping in to calm the scene.

This painful defeat has not only cost Madrid the trophy but also exposed deep fractures in the squad, with Diaz now viewed as a scapegoat for the loss.
