Richarlison brutally responds to Harvey Elliott’s gesture during Liverpool Tottenham game

Richarlison has brutally hit back at Harvey Elliott on social media after he was spotted taunting the former Evertonian as Liverpool won the Premier League.

Liverpool clinched their 20th English league title — a historic milestone — with a commanding 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield, sealing the 2024/25 Premier League crown.

Late in the game, Harvey Elliott was subbed on to enjoy the celebrations and help close out the match. During his time on the pitch, he had a heated exchange with Spurs striker Richarlison.

Following the clash, Richarlison responded on social media with a sharp jab aimed at Elliott.

Elliott entered the game in the 76th minute, replacing Luis Díaz — who had scored Liverpool’s opener — and quickly made an impact, firing a few shots as Liverpool pushed for more goals.

As the match neared its conclusion in the 94th minute, tensions flared. Richarlison, clearly frustrated by the heavy defeat and his Everton ties, grabbed Elliott. The Liverpool youngster retaliated with a shove before teammate Curtis Jones intervened, and Elliott mockingly flashed a “3-0” hand gesture toward the Brazilian.

A TikTok video later broke down the incident, questioning the meaning behind Elliott’s hand signal. Richarlison, never one to back down from a jab, left a biting comment:

“He wants to reach 30 goals in his career I think.”

Harvey Elliott has struggled for regular minutes at Liverpool, managing just 14 goals in 143 appearances for the Reds. He also netted seven times during a loan spell at Blackburn Rovers, where he spent the 2020/21 season.

In contrast, Richarlison boasts a more prolific career, having scored 106 goals across 368 appearances for various clubs, including 20 for Tottenham and 53 during his time at Everton.

Following the heated moment between Elliott and Richarlison, fans have been debating the true meaning behind Elliott’s “3-0” hand gesture. Some believe he was mocking Everton’s 30-year drought without a major trophy, while others think it referenced Liverpool’s three victories over Spurs this season.
