Ahead of the UEFA Champions League semi-final showdown between Inter Milan and Barcelona, Nicolo Barella has highlighted one Barcelona player as a major source of concern for the Italian side.
As Inter prepares to face a dominant Barcelona team led by Hansi Flick, Barella admitted that rising star Lamine Yamal is drawing particular attention. “Coach Inzaghi keeps warning us about him,” Barella told Football España. “Some of the squad are genuinely nervous about facing him.”
He praised the 17-year-old’s pace, dribbling, and match-changing ability, saying Yamal has already proven to be a major threat in previous matches. “He’s a very special player,” Barella said. “We must be extremely cautious—one small error could be costly.”
Inzaghi is reportedly placing strong tactical focus on neutralizing Yamal as Inter formulates its strategy. With a Champions League final at stake, both teams are gearing up for an intense battle. Barcelona aims for their sixth European title—and their first since 2015—while Inter eyes a return to continental glory after a solid campaign.
