Barcelona legend Andrés Iniesta breaks his silence and lashes out at UEFA after the Barcelona vs. Inter match in the Champions League semi-final!

Barcelona vs. Inter Ends 3–3: Iniesta Blasts UEFA Over Yamal Snub

The Champions League semi-final first leg between Barcelona and Inter Milan ended in a dramatic 3-3 draw, leaving the tie wide open ahead of the second leg at San Siro. But while fans were still catching their breath from the six-goal thriller, legendary Barcelona midfielder Andrés Iniesta made headlines of his own.

In a rare and fiery public statement, Iniesta criticized UEFA for what he called an “unjust” decision in failing to award Man of the Match to Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal.

“What Yamal did in the match was exceptional,” Iniesta said. “His dribbling, his impact — it was all there. UEFA’s decision to overlook him is not only unfair, it’s damaging to the spirit of football.”

The former captain didn’t hold back, suggesting such decisions undermine talent and could erode trust in the game’s integrity. He warned that if football continues on this path, “the future will be riddled with injustice and neglect.”

With the decisive second leg looming, Iniesta’s words have ignited debate among fans and pundits alike. Did UEFA get it wrong?
