Scholes RIPS Into Garnacho for ‘Wrong Decisions’ Despite UEL Win

Manchester United reach Europa League final, but Paul Scholes singles out Alejandro Garnacho for constant poor decision-making in final third—fans furious too!

FULL STORY:

Manchester United advanced to the Europa League final after a 4-1 aggregate win over Athletic Bilbao, but club legend Paul Scholes didn’t hold back on TNT Sports when evaluating Alejandro Garnacho’s performance. Despite the team’s success, Scholes zeroed in on Garnacho’s wastefulness, especially two first-half one-on-ones he failed to convert—one being a failed chip that went wide.

Scholes said:

> “He’s brilliant at getting in behind, but always makes the wrong decision. That chip? He’s never scored a goal like that in his life. Just round the keeper and slot it in!”

Statistically, Garnacho has 7 goals this season but an xG of 11.7—highlighting his inefficiency. On social media, fans echoed Scholes’ frustration. Some called him “wasteful,” others said United should sell him this summer, especially if big offers come in. One fan wrote, “Garnacho I didn’t even flinch. I’m used to this.”

United now prepare for a final showdown with Spurs, but Garnacho’s place in Amorim’s XI may be under threat if he doesn’t sharpen up.
