A top Barcelona star has made his final decision and has begun contacting Luis Enrique to move to Paris Saint-Germain

Barcelona’s dramatic Champions League exit has triggered more than just tactical reassessment — it has begun to unravel the emotional and sporting futures of key players, with Gavi now emerging as the latest potential casualty of this turbulent period.

Once a beacon of Barcelona’s youth revolution and a favorite of both Xavi and Luis Enrique, Gavi now finds himself in a precarious position under new coach Hansi Flick. According to El Nacional, the 20-year-old midfielder, still recovering full rhythm after a serious knee injury, has found his influence waning in a midfield increasingly dominated by Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, and rising figures like Dani Olmo and Fermín López.

Despite the club’s assurances that Flick trusts him, Gavi’s limited minutes and peripheral role in crucial matches — particularly in the tie against Inter Milan — paint a different picture. His frustration is growing, and with Euro 2024 and other international competitions on the horizon, he cannot afford stagnation at this critical juncture in his development.

Now, a powerful new suitor has entered the frame: Paris Saint-Germain, led by former Spain boss Luis Enrique — the very coach who elevated Gavi onto the global stage with Spain’s national team. Sources indicate that Gavi has already received direct messages from Enrique outlining a clear role as a starter and leader at PSG, where his style and tenacity would be central to the club’s evolving identity post-Mbappé.

Although Gavi is publicly committed to Barcelona — with a long-term contract until 2030 — the seeds of uncertainty have clearly been planted. If his status doesn’t improve under Flick, a summer move, possibly seen as unthinkable just months ago, could rapidly gain traction.
