Liverpool Prepare €60m Bid for RB Leipzig Star Xavi Simons
With the Premier League title secured, Liverpool are shifting their focus to an ambitious summer transfer window aimed at reinforcing Arne Slot’s squad for long-term success.
According to Empire of the Kop, the Reds are preparing an initial offer of around €60 million (£51.1m) for RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons. The 22-year-old Dutch international has been one of the Bundesliga’s standout performers this season, registering 10 goals and 8 assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
Capable of playing as both an attacking midfielder and a winger, Simons offers the kind of tactical versatility Liverpool are known to prioritize. His arrival would further strengthen the club’s growing Dutch core, which already includes Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, and Ryan Gravenberch.
Simons’ strong performances have drawn interest from several European giants, with Bayern Munich’s sporting director Christoph Freund calling him an “exceptional player.” However, Liverpool appear determined to lead the race, with manager Arne Slot reportedly viewing Simons as a key component of his vision for a dynamic and youthful squad.
