UEFA FINAL DECISION: San Mames to Host All-English Europa League Final Despite Ticket Uproar!

Manchester United and Tottenham locked in for battle in Bilbao—15,000 tickets each, 11,000 for general sale, but fans furious over 12,000 seats reserved for sponsors.

UEFA has confirmed that San Mames Stadium in Bilbao will remain the venue for the upcoming Europa League final between Manchester United and Tottenham, despite growing pressure to relocate to a larger stadium due to massive fan demand.

With the stadium holding 53,289, each club gets 15,000 tickets, leaving many fans scrambling for the limited 11,000 general sale tickets, while 12,000 are handed to sponsors and VIPs. This move has sparked outrage among both fanbases.

Manchester United, undefeated in Europe this season, stormed past Athletic Club 7-1 on aggregate, while Spurs crushed Bodo/Glimt 5-1 to book their spot. UEFA says a venue change is “logistically impossible,” as Bilbao was selected back in 2021.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou dismissed the criticism, saying: “If it’s so easy to get to a final, then why doesn’t everyone do it? We’ve earned this.”

This final marks a major opportunity for both Ruben Amorim and Postecoglou to silence domestic critics and lift a European trophy before heading into the 2025/26 season.
