Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona have reportedly made eight players available for transfer ahead of the summer window.
Barcelona Poised for Major Summer Clear-Out Despite Strong Domestic Season
Despite a recent setback in the Champions League, Barcelona have enjoyed a solid season overall. Under Hansi Flick, the Catalan giants currently sit seven points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga, with just three games remaining.
Already crowned Supercopa de Espana and Copa del Rey champions, Barcelona are on course to complete a domestic treble by clinching the league title as well.
However, attention is already turning to the summer transfer window, with reports suggesting the club is preparing for a significant squad reshuffle. According to Diario Sport, as many as eight players could be made available for transfer if suitable offers come in.
The list reportedly includes Iñaki Peña, Ronald Araujo, Héctor Fort, Fermín Lopez, Pablo Gavi, Pablo Torre, Pau Víctor, and Ansu Fati.
Notably, Gavi, once considered untouchable following his meteoric rise, may no longer be off-limits. The 20-year-old midfielder has struggled to secure a consistent place in Flick’s starting lineup after returning from a serious knee injury. Given the circumstances, the club may now be open to letting him go to raise funds or make room for new signings.
Barcelona Open to Offers for Most of Squad — Except Lamine Yamal
Ansu Fati, once hailed as one of Barcelona’s brightest prospects, continues to struggle for form and consistency. Despite his promising start with the first team, recent performances have fallen short of expectations.
According to Diario Sport, Barcelona are now prepared to consider offers for nearly every player in their squad, with just one untouchable name: Lamine Yamal.
The 17-year-old winger has been nothing short of sensational this season, racking up 16 goals and 24 assists, and is even being mentioned as a Ballon d’Or contender. His extraordinary campaign has firmly established him as the centerpiece of Barcelona’s future.
Sporting director Deco is reportedly planning a targeted rebuild and is eager to strengthen the squad in four key areas this summer: full-back, striker, attacking midfielder, and potentially a goalkeeper, should Wojciech Szczęsny depart at the end of the season.
Barcelona return to La Liga action on Thursday night, facing Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium as they look to edge closer to the league title.
