After Frimpong: Sky journo says Liverpool already ‘in contact’ with next signing; he wants the move

Liverpool have already wrapped up a deal for right‑wing‑back Jeremie Frimpong and are now pushing ahead with their next target. With Trent Alexander‑Arnold set to join Real Madrid on a free this summer, the Reds have quickly moved to fill the gap and have reportedly been given the go‑ahead to step up their chase for left‑back Milos Kerkez.

Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg says Liverpool have opened talks with Bournemouth for left‑back Milos Kerkez and are “determined” to seal the deal this summer. Kerkez is reportedly eager to move, and Fabrizio Romano adds that the player is keen on the switch.

As backup, Liverpool have lined up Ajax’s 17‑year‑old defensive prodigy Jorrel Hato should negotiations for Kerkez collapse.

Kerkez, 21, joined Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar last year and has made 72 appearances (2 goals, 8 assists). He is also a Hungary team‑mate of Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai.

A new signing at left‑back would almost certainly spell the end of Kostas Tsimikas’s Anfield stint. The Greek defender—remembered for scoring the decisive penalty in the 2022 FA Cup final—has logged 114 matches and 18 assists for Liverpool, but with Andy Robertson still first‑choice, Tsimikas looks set to move on.
