Fabrizio Romano drops bombshell on Liverpool’s next signing after Jeremie Frimpong

Fabrizio Romano has given Liverpool fans a huge update about their next signing after Jeremie Frimpong.

With Trent Alexander‑Arnold set to leave on a free, Liverpool have already moved for his successor by activating Jeremie Frimpong’s €35 million release clause at Bayer Leverkusen, and the Dutch right‑back will be unveiled shortly.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano says Arne Slot isn’t stopping there: Liverpool have now opened talks with Bournemouth for left‑back Milos Kerkez, and negotiations are progressing.

Liverpool are negotiating both a fee with Bournemouth and personal terms with 21‑year‑old left‑back Milos Kerkez. The Hungarian, who’s openly spoken about aiming for a top‑club move and has hinted at Anfield on social media, is keen on the switch. While the exact transfer figure and salary remain undisclosed, both sides expect to wrap up an agreement quickly.

Bournemouth are said to want £45‑50 million for Milos Kerkez, per journalist Nicolò Schira. The 21‑year‑old left‑back would sign a five‑year deal running to 2030 if Liverpool meet that valuation. Kerkez, bought from AZ Alkmaar for £15.5 m last summer, has made 39 appearances and caught the eye of Manchester City, AC Milan and Napoli, but Liverpool remain in pole position.
