Florian Wirtz’s Social Media Post Fuels Liverpool Transfer Rumors

A recent social media post by Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz has stirred fresh speculation about a possible move to Liverpool.

Wirtz, who shares a close friendship and long-standing partnership with Jeremie Frimpong, posted a message that many fans interpret as confirmation of Frimpong’s departure:

“Good luck on your next chapter Jeremie Frimpong.”

The message appears to signal that the Dutch right-back is on his way out of Leverkusen—potentially heading to Liverpool.

Frimpong has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks, as new manager Arne Slot looks to strengthen the right side of his defense. With Trent Alexander-Arnold reportedly set to leave this summer, and Conor Bradley recently extending his contract, Frimpong’s arrival could inject a mix of youthful energy and attacking flair into the right-back position.

While Slot has kept quiet on the transfer front, growing reports and the timing of Wirtz’s post have intensified fan speculation.

Adding further intrigue, Wirtz’s agents are currently in the UK holding discussions with Liverpool. The fact that Wirtz hasn’t shared a goodbye message of his own has led to speculation that he, too, may be on the verge of joining Frimpong at Anfield—fueling hopes of a Leverkusen duo reuniting in Merseyside red.
