Details regarding the transfer fee demanded by Premier League champions Liverpool for their star winger Luis Díaz have emerged as of Tuesday.
The Colombian attacker has once again made headlines in Barcelona, with recent reports indicating that he is the club’s top target for the upcoming season.
With Barcelona actively seeking to strengthen their options on the wing, Díaz is seen as a perfect fit for new manager Hansi Flick’s energetic playing style.
However, securing his services won’t come cheap.
According to Diario Sport, Liverpool’s board has made it clear they will only entertain offers that meet their high valuation of the player:
“The timelines are established and known by all parties, as is the asking price—estimated at around 85 million euros.”

Blackburn Rovers’ women’s team has been demoted from the Women’s Super League 2, England’s second tier of women’s football, after the club opted not to fulfill the league’s requirements regarding facilities, staff, and player welfare.
The club was given until Monday to inform WSL Football—the governing body for the top two divisions in women’s football—whether they would fund the team to meet licensing standards and maintain their spot in tier two.
Although Blackburn avoided bottom place by finishing just above Sheffield United in the Championship (soon to be rebranded as WSL2 for the 2025–26 season), their fate was sealed following a meeting on Monday, May 12. Players and staff, who had been kept in uncertainty since May 13, were reportedly heartbroken when the club announced no financial support would be forthcoming.
Sources familiar with the situation criticized the club’s poor communication and handling of the matter, although they requested anonymity to protect their positions.
