Arteta Eyes Rodrygo as Key Arsenal Target Amid Real Madrid Uncertainty

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has reportedly set his sights on Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, suggesting the Brazilian could play a starring role at the Emirates if he agrees to a transfer. Arteta is believed to have assured Rodrygo a guaranteed place in his ideal position on the left flank—currently contested by Martinelli and Trossard.

The growing speculation stems from the imminent arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Madrid, which could limit Rodrygo’s game time. Though Rodrygo is under contract until 2028 and has expressed his desire to stay in Madrid, sources indicate he may consider leaving if his role diminishes.

Arsenal’s interest matches their ongoing plan to strengthen their attack and push further in the Premier League. However, Madrid reportedly won’t entertain offers below €100 million (£85 million).

No official offers have been confirmed yet, but this potential blockbuster move is expected to develop as the summer transfer window n

ears.
