Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool & Man City Dealt Transfer Blow by Bayern Munich Chief: Kimmich Set to Stay.

Bayern Optimistic About Kimmich Contract Renewal Amid Growing Interest

Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund has expressed confidence that Joshua Kimmich will extend his contract, which is set to expire in June. Despite strong interest from top clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, and Manchester City, Freund stated after Bayern’s 2–1 win over Freiburg that he believes Kimmich will remain at the club.

Kimmich, 29, has been a core part of Bayern since 2015 and continues to play a vital role this season, appearing in all Bundesliga matches and excelling in both midfield and defense. He provided the assist from a corner for Bayern’s winning goal against Freiburg.

While transfer rumors continue to swirl, Kimmich has remained tight-lipped, recently voicing his frustration over repeated media questions about his future. He reiterated that there has been no change in his situation.

Losing Kimmich on a free transfer would be a significant blow to Bayern, but the club remains hopeful of securing a contract extension in the coming weeks.
